Raids
Raids let you dig up coins from other players' coin stashes. You select 3 out of 4 spots to dig — higher stash targets = more coins. Foxy the Fox adds an extra dig spot.
Attacks
Attacks let you destroy one item in another player's village. Tiger the Tiger pet increases the coin reward per attack. Attacks generate XP and are key for Attack Madness events.
How to Raid Effectively — Maximum Coins Every Time
Raiding is the primary way to accumulate coins quickly in Coin Master, especially at high villages where you need billions per build. The mechanics are simple — execution is what separates casual players from efficient farmers.
Choosing the Right Raid Target
When you land on the Raid symbol, you're shown a random player's stash. You cannot choose who you raid — but you can choose which holes to dig. The coin amounts are hidden until you dig. However:
- Target players at your village level or higher. Higher-level players have more coins stored, meaning bigger raid hauls per spin. The game tends to match you with players near your level.
- Look for high coin stash targets. The preview shows the player's village — ornate, fully-built villages suggest a large coin stash. Half-built villages at low levels tend to have smaller stashes.
- Always dig 3 spots on your own instinct. There's no guaranteed pattern — dig positions are random. Anyone claiming a "pattern" is experiencing confirmation bias.
Foxy Pet: The Raider's Best Friend
Foxy the Fox is the most valuable pet for coin farming. When active during a raid, Foxy adds a 4th dig spot — giving you 4 attempts instead of 3. Over hundreds of raids, this 33% extra chance compounds into enormous coin gains. Always activate Foxy before a Raid Madness event for maximum benefit.
| Scenario | Dig Spots | Expected Coin % |
|---|---|---|
| Without Foxy | 3 of 4 | 75% of stash |
| With Foxy (Level 1) | 4 of 4 | Up to 100% of stash |
| During Raid Madness | 3–4 of 4 | 2–3× multiplier on haul |
🔑 The Golden Rule of Raiding: Never spend spins in large batches when you're low on Foxy energy. Refill Foxy's energy (via in-game treats or waiting) before your next raiding session. A raid with active Foxy is worth 25–33% more than one without.
Attack Strategy — Events, XP and Tiger Timing
Attacks destroy one item in an opponent's village. The primary value of attacks is in Attack Madness events, where each attack is worth 2–3× the normal event points. Outside of events, attacks generate some XP and coins but are generally less valuable than raids for coin farming.
When to Attack vs When to Raid
- Prioritise raids when you need coins to build a village — raids generate more coins per spin than attacks.
- Prioritise attacks during Attack Madness events — the event multiplier makes each attack far more valuable for event progression and prizes.
- Use Tiger pet only during Attack Madness. Tiger increases the coin payout per attack. Combined with the event multiplier, a fully-levelled Tiger during Attack Madness can generate enormous rewards.
Best Attack Targets
Target opponents whose villages are nearly complete — fully built items give more XP when destroyed. Avoid attacking players who are clearly low-level (simple, unbuilt villages) as the rewards scale down with village level difference.
Pet Strategy: Foxy, Tiger & Rhino Explained
| Pet | Ability | Best Use | Priority |
|---|---|---|---|
| 🦊 Foxy | Extra raid dig spot (+1 hole) | Raid Madness events, daily raiding | Always active when raiding |
| 🐯 Tiger | +% coins per attack | Attack Madness events only | Attack events only |
| 🦏 Rhino | Blocks attacks (random %) | When your village is incomplete & you're being attacked heavily | Situational |
Level your pets using XP treats earned from events and card set completions. Foxy should be your primary levelling priority as it directly increases coin income for every raiding session.
Defending Your Village from Attacks
You cannot manually defend in real time — but you can reduce your losses through smart play:
- Rhino the Rhino has a chance to block incoming attacks. Higher Rhino level = higher block percentage. Useful when you're at a vulnerable village that costs a lot to rebuild.
- Complete villages fast. Fully built villages cannot be attacked meaningfully — there's nothing left to destroy. The risk window is when items are partially built.
- Don't hold too many coins. Keep coins in active use — build village items as soon as you have enough. A massive coin stash sitting idle is a juicy raid target for Foxy users.
- Use shields. Shields are earned from the slot machine (3 shields = full protection). Prioritise rebuilding any attacked items immediately to minimise the open window.
There's no fixed maximum — it depends entirely on how many coins the target player has stored. Late-game players with billions of coins stored can be raided for hundreds of millions per attempt. With Foxy active and 4 dig spots, you can potentially empty a player's entire stash in one raid.
For events, any player counts — but higher-level players give more coins and XP per attack. For Attack Madness events, any attack counts toward event progress regardless of the target's level.
Foxy is better for everyday play because raids are the most consistent coin-farming method. Tiger only pulls ahead during Attack Madness events when its bonus stacks with the event multiplier. Level Foxy first, Tiger second, Rhino third.
Yes. Other players can raid your coin stash while you're offline. This is why it's important to spend coins quickly by building your village — large idle coin stashes are prime raid targets. Rhino can block some attacks, but not all.
